It was Razer Surround causing a memory leak. Not an important program, uninstalled, problem resolved.

Not sure if it's related, but I think every time it's done it has been after waking my PC from sleep mode. May need to test that theory further.

7+ out of 8 gigs. Usually stays below 3 unless I'm doing something, but recently something's just been sucking it up and hiding it away. It seems normal for the moment, though.

Yep, got that far on my own, but there's nothing there that has a high memory usage. Roughly adding up everything, it still doesn't even come close.

you need to click "More Details" in the task manager so you can see what the real list of processes shows, then sort it by memory.

Hey Twolf, have you any idea how I might figure out what's eating up all my RAM? No processes in the task manager or resource manager seem to list anything over a couple hundred MB of memory, but there's several gigs being eaten by... Something?

Hah. Hahahahah. Couldnt restore it, it wouldnt read the restore disks Windows made. So I tried the recovery option to bring it back to Windows 7. It didnt, but apparently whatever it did fixed the issue.
