The Wolf Den Will Go Public This Week - TWolfWD - 01-04-2016
Yep, that thing I said in the title. The Wolf Den will be going public this week, likely Thursday. It's something I've been mentioning for some time but haven't gotten to yet. I think we're at a point where we can support it again, and the server could certainly use the boost in players, though I can't say what we should expect. It's a big world, and there are lots of other servers to compete with.
If you want to protect your goods from potential theft and destruction, I suggest you look into Towny, which we now run on the server. It provides all sorts of protections within the towns players create. There's too much involved for me to talk about in this post, but the documentation can be found by following this link (hint: click me).

As an additional (and slightly unofficial) announcement:
Mobs will (hopefully) begin providing some amount of money when killed.
I know without NPCs some of you have noted that Towny has been taxing you, and you're running out of cash( so you can't even use towny, since you need money to run a town :O)
I'm looking in to additional alternatives as well using the plugins we currently have (the NPC shops should be able to be replaced with chest shops... Or remade, at least)
Note that mobs must be able to fight back if you make a mob farm. No sitting behind a 1 block hole while hundreds of mobs float by with 1 health left.

Any word on NPCs, by the by? Or are we hoping for an update to it? Odd they worked so well for so long and just kerplunked like that. Granted, I dont see the behind the scenes, so it only looked to me like they were working so well.

The shops are still functioning, in a limited sort of way.
You can use the /buy and /sell commands while standing in the relevant shop to buy and sell specific items. I'm not sure if there's a way to see what's in the shop, though.
