Edit Reason: Adding rules on NPC naming
)
This guideline regards the Wolf Den Minecraft server as a whole, providing a baseline for player behavior through the server. Different worlds may have different rules, and those rules may even trump those found here. However, unless specifically noted otherwise by an Admin via a thread within this forum, assume these are the rules to be followed.
Note: These rules are subject to change at any time. The Title of this document will always contain the date in which the rules were last updated, and a response made to this thread detailing changes made.
1. General Rules and Civil Conduct
The Wolf Den is a PVP server. However, there is need for guidelines in regard to how PVP is carried out.
Once land has been built on it becomes part of the history of the Wolf Den. Guidelines should be followed to ensure this history is preserved.
The rules within this sections are world specific. Each category is named for the world(s) in which the rules apply. If the worlds have sub-worlds such as a The Nether or The End, it should be assumed that these rules apply within those sub-worlds as well.

5. Command Specific

2. Dynmap Markers

1. General Rules and Civil Conduct
- Be respectful of other players. Be aware of the other players on the server and do nothing to intentionally harass them.
- Only set home (/sethome) in territory you own, or unclaimed territory you plan to work on.
- Do not spam the chat channels.
- Do not advertise external sites and products for commercial gain.
- Do not advertise other Minecraft Servers without prior permission from a Wolf Den Administrator.
- Do not Grief. The action of Griefing covers any action in which the intent is to cause distress to another player, either directly or indirectly. Examples include but are not limited to: Destruction of player creations and the theft of player items.
- Do not use any mods or hacks that give an unfair edge over other players. Examples could include: Xray, 'cave vision', flying, speed, "Advanced Movement" mods, automated PVP tools, and maps that include the ability to locate hidden ores/players/mobs. Some examples of acceptable modifications would include: maps equivalent to dynmap, optifine, etc. If you are unsure if your mod is okay to use or not, please send a link to it to an Admin on the forums or in game.
The Wolf Den is a PVP server. However, there is need for guidelines in regard to how PVP is carried out.
- The Spawn Town is a PVP free zone. No combat is allowed within the Spawn Town with the exception of the Arena.
- Do not teleport away from combat you instigated (/home, /tp, /warp, etc…).
- Do not repeatedly kill another player unless the victim is the instigator.
- Do not use the /back command to re-enter a fight, whether you were killed or left voluntarily.
Once land has been built on it becomes part of the history of the Wolf Den. Guidelines should be followed to ensure this history is preserved.
- Land is only considered to be owned once it has been built upon and a significant way. A 3x3 dirt hut does not imply ownership of the land, nor does a sign.
- A Structure only implies ownership of land up to 16 blocks from the structure.
- Once claimed, all land below and all sky above is part of that plot.
- Do not modify land which does not belong to you.
- Do not take items from chests which do not belong to you.

1. The Den
- Do not create monster farms. A monster farm is defined as any player made structure designed with the purpose to harvest loot from hostile mobs, or to isolate mobs in such a way as to make them vulnerable to the player without chance for the player to take damage.
- Do not create "Grinders". A Grinder is defined as any contraption which automates the process of levelling up McMMO skills.
5. Command Specific
The rules within this sections are specific to commands available to players. The complexity of each command's rules will depend on the command itself.
1. Nicknames
Syntax: /nick {nickname}
- May be no longer than 24 characters in length.
- Must either be a variation of the player's Username, or contain a portion of that Username.
- May not contain any profanities or provocative phrases/words.
- May contain at most four colors.
- May not contain the color Black.
- May not knowingly imitate the name of another player.
2. Dynmap Markers
Syntax: /dmarker {command}
- Place map markers only over structures in which you are either part or whole owner.
- Do not use offensive or profane language in your map marker name.
3. NPCs (Citizens)
Syntax: /npc {command}
- Do not use the name of another player registered to this server when naming an NPC.
- Do not use profanity when naming an NPC.
