Battery operated chainsaws are for small stuff like pruning and 7" limbs/logs. If you're doing extensive work or actual logs/tree felling, gas-op is the best way to go. The plug in electric kind are okay, I've cut through some pretty big logs with 'em before, but they have their limits and aren't really designed for heavy work.I really just got it because I have a ton of other battery-op tools from the same line and it's nice to have something that i can just whip out for quick work.
Well I'm pretty well only dealing with aspen and alder trees. Some small birch clusters. None of them greater than 8 inches in diameter, most max at 4-6 inches. But a lot of them. How long could I cut with it?
