Last Night's Thunderstorm

So had some pretty intense lightning last night. So like the sensible man that I am I went outside to take pictures..







And here's two shots about a second apart.





And here's a shot of my front yard taken while it was pitch dark out. (Lightning struck close by when this one was taken.)

Wow Blue those are some really great pics, I'm serious!. It is really hard to capture lightning in a photo. Some universities may want those pictures because from what I remember lightning is still an area to be fully explored.

I remember in Florida we would sit out at night and watch the lightining roll around inside the clouds. It was quite spectacular. Sadly, this was before the age of cameraphones, so I have just my memories to enjoy.

Holy crap! That last picture was AT NIGHT?!?!?!

I thought it was like the next morning while it was still raining. Behold, the power of one point twenty one jiggawatts!

That's crazy I was in Florida when they thought Hurricane Katrina was going to hit their. There was crazy lightning storms when I was there. I live in Southern California and all we get is earthquakes and insane fire storms.<div>
