Edit Reason: Adding rules on NPC naming
)
This guideline regards the Wolf Den Minecraft server as a whole, providing a baseline for player behavior through the server. Different worlds may have different rules, and those rules may even trump those found here. However, unless specifically noted otherwise by an Admin via a thread within this forum, assume these are the rules to be followed.
Note: These rules are subject to change at any time. The Title of this document will always contain the date in which the rules were last updated, and a response made to this thread detailing changes made. 1. General Rules and Civil Conduct
The Wolf Den is a PVP server. However, there is need for guidelines in regard to how PVP is carried out.
Once land has been built on it becomes part of the history of the Wolf Den. Guidelines should be followed to ensure this history is preserved.
The rules within this sections are world specific. Each category is named for the world(s) in which the rules apply. If the worlds have sub-worlds such as a The Nether or The End, it should be assumed that these rules apply within those sub-worlds as well. 1. The Den
5. Command Specific The rules within this sections are specific to commands available to players. The complexity of each command's rules will depend on the command itself. 1. Nicknames Syntax: /nick {nickname}
2. Dynmap Markers Syntax: /dmarker {command}
3. NPCs (Citizens) Syntax: /npc {command}

Edit Reason: typo
)
Description: Added rule 4.1.1, dissallowing the creation of Monster Farms.
Reason: With the addition of McMMO, and future addition of an economic system, Monster Farms present an exploitative way to advance through the Role-play centric plugins. In the case of McMMO, utilizaing a Monster Farm to level up the Archery or Swordsman skills, or to gain experience for enchanting, forces other players to do the same or lag behind. Simply put, this goes against the game experience we desire for The Wolf Den. In the case of the economic system, it saturates the market, devaluing the mob drops entirely. The economy in place is a dynamic one, in which prices fluctuate depending on how much stock is in the system. If a player saturates the market in the span of an afternoon, it prevents other players from earning what they deserve on the loot they sell, preventing them from purchasing other goods. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den

Description: Added clarification to rule 1.5 concerning advertising of external sites; Added Section 5, "Command Rules"; Added section 5.1, "Nicknames".
Reason: To alleviate demand on Moderator and Admin time, Member_P players may now nickname themselves. It is important that it be clear what is allowed and not allowed. It is also helpful for players to know what they may and may not request in their nicknames. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den
Description: Added rule 4.1.2
Reason: Grinders allow the player to step away from the game while their character continues to gain experience. This goes against the natural flow of progression we want for the server. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den

Description: Added rule 5.2.1 and 5.2.2.
Reason: It is beneficial if players can mark places of interest on the map, but it's important that those markers remain appropriate. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den

Description: Added rule 2.4.
Reason: Because not all players have access to the /back command, it is unfair for those who do to use that command to re-enter combat, overwhelming the other players. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den

Description: Added rule 3.2
Reason: There has been confusion as to what constituted owned territory. This rule is the first part of a more complex solution. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den

Description: Added rules 5.3.1 and 5.3.2
Reason: Needed to make sure names for NPCs were not misleading or inappropriate. ![]() Founder and Co-owner of The Wolf Den
