Hooray! We can add colours to the chat!
While this is a neat addition, I'm not a fan of coloured text being default. I'd prefer white text, myself; it has excellent contrast to most things one would view in Minecraft. While the chatbox does make coloured text easier to read (by having a black background), white text would inherently be more visible.
Having most chat be white, with colours to signify importance would be my suggestion. This could be applied using a system like the chat channels we once had, but where you could opt-in to speak in a particular colour for your particular role.
Another example is like the broadcast command; you explicitly use a differentiating colour to garner attention, rather than always having that colour being shown.
On a side note, guest chat is the same colour as the /broadcast command. Despite the Broadcast logo, maybe a different colour could be chosen?
